Publications
The Society has a variety of publications available that celebrate Missouri's rich history. In addition to a wide range of historical books on art, the civil war, slavery and small towns you will find publications by staff members that illustrate the history of eras and regions from all corners of the State.
The Missouri Historical Review
An award-winning scholarly quarterly, has served as the cornerstone of the Society's publication program since 1906. This richly illustrated journal features recent scholarship on all facets of the state's history. The Missouri Historical Review also contains reviews of and notes on recently published books about the history of the state and local areas and the lives of Missourians.
Missouri Times
The quarterly newsletter, Missouri Times, is received as a benefit of membership in The State Historical Society of Missouri. The newsletter includes updates and information on acquisition and research, exhibits, and outreach and educational programs offered by the Society.
